Located a half block from High Park, its not entirely surprising that this 1910 house had originally been built on an inadequately filled ravine, causing it to sink out of level, to the tune of 3 inches from side wall to side wall. Our Structural Engineer, Bob Brown, took on the task of ordering that 22 helical piers be installed to stabilize and straighten the house. The Front Façade was entirely refaced to cover up the skewed elevation. The style of the new Façade respects the High Park neighbourhood fabric, everything else beyond that is modern and open. The Main and Basement floors are polished concrete, the kitchen is ultra contemporary, the connection to a fabulous Backyard Entertainment Deck is through a superb walnut Bifold Door, spanning the full width house.
